Who is responsible
Norske Spill (norskeonlinespill.com) decides how the small amount of personal data described here is handled, and is the controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can reach us at hello@norskeonlinespill.com.
What stays in your browser
When you confirm your age and choose a nickname, the site saves one entry in your browser's local storage, called nos_purse. It holds your nickname, coin balance, rounds played, largest single return, the time of your last woodpile top-up, your age confirmation and whether you've closed the storage note.
This entry is created and read by the page itself. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. You can delete it at any time by choosing Sign out in your purse or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What our host records
Like almost every website, the server that delivers our pages keeps short technical logs. These are recorded by our hosting provider and typically include your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and the browser and device type your browser reports. They are used only to keep the site running and secure, for example to spot faults or block abusive traffic, and are deleted on the host's routine schedule. Our legal basis is legitimate interests: keeping a public website working safely.
If you email us
When you write to us we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to reply and keep the conversation for as long as needed to deal with it, then delete it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages.
What we don't do
- No analytics, advertising or social media trackers.
- No cookies of any kind.
- No fonts, scripts or images loaded from other companies' servers.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data.
- No profiling or automated decisions about you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it's used, and to receive it in a portable form. Because we hold so little, most requests will concern emails you've sent us. Write to the address above and we'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
The site is for adults only. We don't knowingly hold any data about anyone under 18.
